About the Role
We’re looking for an ambitious, high-energy Test Engineer with 3–5 years of experience who is ready to grow into a quality leadership role. This is not a manual QA role — you’ll have real ownership of test strategy across a polyglot microservices platform, the latitude to evaluate and improve our existing framework, and a clear path to leading the quality engineering function as the company scales.

What You Will Do
- Own the test strategy — define and evolve testing across unit, integration, API, E2E, performance, and load for a cloud-native microservices platform on Kubernetes (Azure AKS)
- Build automation that scales — design and maintain test suites covering 350+ REST/gRPC endpoints across Java, Python, and Node.js backends, plus E2E flows through a Vue.js frontend
- Test AI-powered features — develop testing approaches for non-deterministic behavior including LLM workflows, RAG retrieval quality, and agentic execution
- Embed quality everywhere — integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, establish quality gates, manage test environments, and promote testability in architecture decisions
- A developer who specializes in testing — 3–5 years building automation frameworks from scratch; TypeScript or JavaScript required, Java or Python a plus
- Hands-on automation experience — Playwright, Cypress, or similar for E2E; Jest, pytest, or JUnit for unit/integration; strong REST API testing; performance testing with k6, Locust, or equivalent
- CI/CD and microservices fluency — comfortable embedding tests into pipelines, reasoning about distributed systems, and designing strategies for async, event-driven architectures
- Pragmatic quality mindset — you know when to automate and when not to, prioritize by risk, and care about maintainability as much as coverage
- Ambition to lead — high-energy and self-directed, with a clear drive to grow from IC into owning the quality engineering function as the company scales
- AIOps platform familiarity (Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, or similar)
- Azure and AKS experience (our production platform)
- Graph or vector database experience (Neo4j, Qdrant, or similar)
- Broader automation experience (Terraform, Ansible, n8n, or similar)
- Background in networking, data center, or enterprise IT infrastructure
