Openstack L2 Support Engineer

Job Title: Level 2 Support Engineer – Nokia OpenStack-Based Cloud

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Level 2 Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support for Nokia OpenStack-based Cloud (CBIS, CBAM, CMP, SDN). The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis of cloud infrastructure issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Incident & Problem Management:

Investigate and resolve complex issues in Nokia OpenStack-based Cloud (CBIS, CBAM, CMP, SDN).

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring cloud infrastructure issues.

Escalate issues to Level 3 or Nokia TAC (Technical Assistance Center) when necessary.

Work within defined SLAs and ensure quick resolution of service-impacting incidents.

 

Cloud Infrastructure & Operations:

Monitor and maintain Nokia OpenStack Cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, and security.

Support cloud deployment, upgrades, and patching of OpenStack components.

Ensure high availability and redundancy of cloud services.

 

Automation & Optimization:

Develop and optimize Ansible playbooks, Python scripts, and shell scripts for automation.

Work with CI/CD pipelines for cloud orchestration and deployment.

Optimize cloud resources for better performance and cost efficiency.

 

Security & Compliance:

Implement access controls, role-based access control (RBAC), and security patches.

 

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

Maintain detailed runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base.

Provide training and knowledge transfer to Level 1 support teams.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

✅ Technical Skills:

Cloud Technologies: Nokia CBIS, CBAM, CMP, SDN, OpenStack, Ceph Storage

Scripting & Automation: Ansible, Python, Bash

OS & Virtualization: Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS), VM, VNF.

 

 

✅ Experience:

3+ years in telecom cloud infrastructure support (Nokia/Red Hat OpenStack preferred).

Hands-on experience in troubleshooting VM, network, and storage issues.

Exposure to 4G Core, IMS, and Telco cloud environments is a plus.

 

 

✅ Certifications (Preferred):

Nokia Cloud Certification (NCIP, NCTP)

OpenStack Certified Administrator (COA)

 

 

✅ Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
